Natural Bath Soak / Shower Scrub

Welcome back!

I’ve got a simple recipe for you to make your own gorgeous bath soak. Don’t have a bath? No stress, as this mixture doubles as a shower scrub.

It’s highly customisable, you can have fun selecting different essential oils, dried flowers and herbs for their fragrances and healing properties. For example, for a calming blend which is also soothing for the skin, Lavender essential oil works really well.

The quantities below will make approximately 1 cup - enough for a single bath soak. Simply multiply the quantities for the amount you wish to make.

For a thoughtful handmade gift, make a larger batch and pop it in some cute jars.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbs Epsom salt

  • 3 tbs Tasman Sea Salt or Pink Himalayan Salt

  • 1 tbs Dried Lavender

  • 1 tbs Dried Calendula

  • 1 tbs Dried Rose Petals

  • 2 tbs Coconut Oil (can be substituted for other oils such as Jojoba)

  • Up to 10 drops of Essential Oils of choice (Ylang Ylang and Rose Bergamot smell absolutely divine)

You can use other dried flowers and herbs that you have on hand, in the past I’ve used chamomile and that was lovely.

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl (preferably glass) until well combined.

  2. Carefully add in your desired drops of essential oils. Mix well.

  3. You’re done! - use straight away or store your mix in an air tight container for another day.
